Infopost: Chasing the Train Edition

Andros is coming to you from pre-canon, so I won’t go into the whole plot of Power Rangers in Space just yet. However, pre-canon a lot of shit happens to Andros. I’ll sum up.

1. When he was a child, his sister, Karone, was kidnapped in a park while he had his back turned for half a second retrieving their ball. Andros has been searching for her ever since, and totally blames himself. He also wears a Locket of Plot Significance with pictures of him and his sister in it, though it’s usually tucked under his shirt.
2. His planet, KO-35, was recently completely evacuated due to the war against Dark Specter, Emperor of Evil. His people are scattered and he doesn’t know if his parents made it offworld or not.
3. During the evacuation, his teammate and best friend, Zhane, took a near-fatal blow to save Andros, who’s not as powerful a Ranger and would have been killed. Zhane is currently in a coma and has been placed in a cryogenic healing chamber aboard Andros’ ship, the Astro Megaship. Andros has no idea if he will ever recover and wake up.
4. Andros also has four more morphers at the start of the series, and zero other teammates are mentioned. It has always been my assumption that his other teammates died during the attacks on KO-35 and this was never mentioned because kids’ show. (He never even mentioned Zhane until his teammates stumbled across the hidden healing chamber by accident.)

It is heavily implied by canon that Andros reacts to these events by becoming a hermit on his spaceship for two years until the Turbo Rangers stumble across him and become his de facto new teammates. Change of plans, buddy, you’re coming to high school!

As previously mentioned, Andros has a spaceship, but the Astro Megaship, with its Zhanesicle, is too big for the Fandom shipyard and will be staying in hidden orbit.
